Hello! Thanks for stopping by Tom's "NYCC Artist's Alley Table"! This online comic con “appearance” is in tandem with New York Comic Con 2024, and will run until 5:00pm EDT Sunday Oct 20th. It will offer all the kinds of commissions Tom usually sells only at a comic con, for the same con prices!
This is a mock MAD Magazine sketch cover with custom commissioned art as specified by you by Tom! These are done on a 9" x 12" piece of bristol with the MAD logo printed on it just like a real MAD cover! The subject can be a caricature of you, your dad, your neighbor, your plumber, or whoever including famous people or subjects like movie characters, etc... with that special MAD twist! The best thing to do is to give Tom a subject and let him make up a MAD cover image about it. The above example was "The Blues Brothers with Alfred". Tom did the rest. The other examples in the gallery were directed as "Norman Bates from Psycho", "Judge Dredd" etc.
HOW TO ORDER: The prices you see here are the base price for either a pencil drawing only, a brush pen inked with Copic gray tones, or a brush pen inked and Copic/colored pencil full color commission of a single subject/gag (two or more subjects or an elaborate theme would be an additional cost). What you do to order one is to add this to your cart, and follow through with the base price payment. Tom will personally respond via email asking for the details of what you want him to draw, get any pictures he'll need, and discuss if there is any additional costs needed for extra people/elaborate themes, etc. Once all the details are worked out he'll get to your commission, just like he would have at any Comic-Con!
All commissions and orders will be completed in the order in which they are received (and be aware this may take some time depending on how long the queue gets), but as it is a completely custom piece of art it make take some time to complete. Rest assured if you are considering this as a holiday gift for someone, it will be completed and shipped to you well before the holiday season.
